Notes:
¹ A train is considered to have failed CaSL if it is cancelled (either in part or in full) and/or arrives at its final destination late by more than 30 minutes. Trains that fail CaSL also fail PPM. A lower score is better. The moving annual average (MAA) reflects the proportion of trains that failed CaSL in the past 12 months.
² Caledonian Sleeper services are not included in the sector calculations.
³ On 1 April 2016, services between Manchester Airport and Blackpool North/Barrow-in-Furness and between Oxenholme and Windermere were transferred from TransPennine Express to Northern. In doing so, these services moved from the Long Distance sector (for which the threshold for meeting PPM is ten minutes) to the Regional sector (for which the threshold is five minutes). The National, Long Distance, and Regional and Scotland historical data have not been adjusted to reflect this reconfiguration.
