Notes:
The Disabled Person Railcard (DPRC) enables disabled passengers to get a discount of a third off adult rail fares for travel on the National Rail network in Great Britain.
DPRC’s are available for both one year and three years in length.
For a break down of railway periods, please see the control period 4 and control period 5 dates table here.

DPRC in circulation (existing and new): The number of disabled person railcards in circulation which are valid to use for a discount on rail fares. This includes both one year and three year railcards. Annual figures reflect the volume at the end of period 13 (end of March) each year.

DPRC new (one year): Number of disabled person railcards issued which are one year in length.
DPRC new (three year): Number of disabled person railcards issued which are three year in length.
Compliance monitoring:

This  dataset is being released as part of a core data set for Complaints Handling Procedures (CHP) and Disabled People’s Protection Policies (DPPP) compliance monitoring.  The establishment of this core data set is an important way in which Train Operating Companies (TOCs) can demonstrate that they are complying with their obligations to disabled passengers and managing their complaints handling processes in accordance with published policies and procedures. The data will improve the transparency of the passengers’ experience and allow ORR to monitor operators’ progress on CHP and DPPP over time.
Factsheet:
A factsheet summarising the key points for passenger assists and disabled person’s railcard has been produced. Please see the following link:
