As part of our commitment to maintaining the quality of all our data we run a quality assurance process. This process has identified potential issues with the data used to produce the safety data tables, affecting 15 of the 29 tables planned for publication on Thursday 12th September.
As data quality is critical, we will not be publishing the 15 tables affected, however the rest of the safety tables will be published as scheduled on Thursday morning.
We are investigating these issues with our data supplier and we will publish an updated dataset as soon as possible once we have received the necessary clarifications. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
For any further information, please contact the statistics Head of Profession, Jay Lindop at email@example.com on 0207 282 3978.
As part of our commitment to improving the quality of our statistics in line with requirements for National Statistics accreditation, we will be introducing themed statistical releases in the latter part of 2013. These will provide contextual commentary on statistics across a common topic (e.g. rail usage) and will aid the user in the interpretation of the data. This means that we will no longer be producing the quarterly summary in its current form, with quarter 4 2012-13 (Jan – Mar 2013) being the last one. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The data wizard reports relating to service satisfaction have been removed from the Data Portal as many of them are due to be revised. Alternative service satisfaction data may be viewed in the form of pre-created reports at service satisfaction reports.
