As part of our commitment to improving the quality of our statistics in line with requirements for National Statistics accreditation, we introduced themed statistical releases in 2013. These releases provide contextual commentary on statistics across a common topic (e.g. rail usage) and aid the user in the interpretation of the data. There are eight themed statistical releases; four are published quarterly and four annually. A Quality Report also accompanies each statistical release. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. A summary of the key findings and next steps of the feedback survey on ORR statistical releases and quality reports is now available.
Also available on the statistical releases webpage are factsheets to accompany some of the datasets on the data portal which are not part of the eight themed statistical releases, e.g. TOC Key Statistics, Rail Passenger Assists and Disabled Persons Railcards.
A dataset of Estimates of Station Usage consisting of estimates of the total numbers of people entering, exiting and changing at every station in Great Britain is published annually along with a methodology report and infographics.
We also provide data on request where possible and these are published on the additional datasets webpage.
