Passenger assistance
Periodic (4-weekly) statistics containing data on the number of assists and bookings made by rail passengers. Whilst all of these statistics are published at a periodic level, they are updated quarterly. These data form part of ORR's core consumer data requirements from train operating companies; more information can be found at ORR core data. - There were 430,450 passenger assists requested during rail periods 5 to 7 of the latest year, up 18% on the same rail periods in the previous year.
- Network Rail managed stations accounted for 33% (133,499) of all passenger assists during rail periods 5 to 7 of the latest year. Stations managed by train operators (including ‘other’ category) accounted for the remaining 69% (296,951) passenger assists.
