Periodic (4-weekly) statistics containing data on the number of disabled persons railcards in circulation. Whilst all of these statistics are published at a periodic level, they are updated quarterly.

Key results

  • There were 218,448 Disabled Persons Railcards (DPRC) in circulation at the end of March 2022. This is 47.0% higher than the number in circulation at the same point in the previous year (148,608). However, it is 11.3% lower than at the same point two years ago (246,336).
  • Overall, 106,219 one-year DPRC were issued in the latest year (1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022). This is more than two and a half times (169.2%) higher than the number issued in the previous year. However, it is 8.0% lower than two years ago.
  • There were 47,780 three-year DPRC issued in the latest year (1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022). This is more than two and a half times (165.7%) higher than the number issued in the previous year and 2.8% higher than two years ago.
