Key results

  • There were 173,301 DPRC in circulation at the end of 2021-22 rail period 4 (24 July 2021). This represents a decrease of 15.4% compared with a year ago, and is 29.6% lower than two years ago.
  • Overall, 32,562 one-year DPRC were issued during 2021-22 rail periods 1 to 4. This is almost 4 times (284.3%) higher than the same rail periods in 2020-21. However, this is still down 21.1% compared with the same rail periods in 2019-20.
  • There were 13,955 three-year DPRC issued during 2021-22 rail periods 1 to 4. This is over 3 times (230.1%) higher than the same rail periods in 2020-21. However, this is still down 17.6% compared with the same rail periods in 2019-20.
