Passenger assistance
Periodic (4-weekly) statistics containing data on the number of pre-booked and turn up and go assists requested by rail passengers. Whilst all of these statistics are published at a periodic level, they are updated quarterly. These data form part of ORR's core consumer data requirements from train operating companies; more information can be found at ORR core data. Key results
- There were 443,754 passenger assists requested during rail periods 8 to 10 of the latest year, up 17% on the same rail periods in the previous year.
- Network Rail managed stations accounted for 31% (135,998) of all passenger assists during rail periods 8 to 10 of the latest year. Stations managed by train operators (including ‘other’ category) accounted for the remaining 69% (307,756) passenger assists.
